The problem is, we’ve been trained to live from intellect first—logic, reaction, survival, emotion—but God is constantly trying to trigger something deeper. That’s why situations feel like pressure. That’s why life “shakes.” It’s not random—it’s intentional. It’s the “prick.” It’s that internal push that aggravates something inside you, trying to wake up what God already put there. And most of the time, we resist it. We pray against it. We rebuke it. But in reality, that pressure is trying to extract the instinct of God from within you. Just like a seed has to be buried to grow, there are environments designed to pull something out of you that you didn’t even know you had.

And this is where Jesus becomes the perfect example—not just because of what He said, but because of what He embodied. He didn’t just explain truth—He demonstrated it. He didn’t just teach love—He lived it. He didn’t just talk about sacrifice—He became it. Which reveals something powerful: explanation reaches the mind, but example awakens instinct. What if He was talking past it?

The lame man had a full explanation for why he couldn’t be healed. It sounded logical. It sounded right. But it kept him stuck.

Then Jesus speaks one sentence — “Take up your bed and walk.”

That wasn’t intellectual language. That was instinct.

It bypassed his reasoning and hit something deeper — something already wired inside of him. The part of him that already knew how to get up. The part of him that didn’t need to be taught. The part of him that was made in the image of God.

But not just any peace — His peace. Because there’s a difference. There’s a kind of peace the world gives, and then there’s the peace Jesus leaves. And if you’re not careful, you can be walking in something that feels like peace but isn’t actually peaceful at all.

The shift happens in a simple realization: you don’t have to know it all. That pressure — to have every answer, to figure everything out, to control every outcome — is what disturbs your peace. But the Kingdom was never designed for you to carry that weight. “Give us this day our daily bread.” Not tomorrow’s answers. Not yesterday’s understanding. Just what’s needed for today. That’s where “submitted doing” comes in. Subdue isn’t just force — it’s doing from a submitted place. You don’t have to master everything up front. You stay connected to the One who knows it all. You move as you hear. You act as you’re led. Just like being placed in a garden — you don’t need a manual for every step. You get in the mix, plant the seed, and as you go, it begins to come to you.

And that’s the difference between striving and flow.

The world teaches you to force outcomes, stack knowledge, and control results. But Jesus shows a different way — “I can of my own self do nothing.” That’s not weakness. That’s alignment. That’s the kind of peace that doesn’t rush, doesn’t panic, and doesn’t perform under pressure. Because it’s not trying to make something happen — it’s allowing God to flow through it.

Instinct and intellect were always meant to work together, but somewhere along the way they got separated. What should be operating as one system inside of us now functions like two opposing forces. The intellect tries to lead, analyze, and control everything, while the instinct—the God nature embedded inside of us—gets pushed into the background. But when Jesus speaks, He constantly demonstrates a different way of living. He moves from instinct. He hears and responds. He acts from alignment instead of overthinking the outcome.

The instinct of God already lives inside of us. Just like animals instinctively know how to survive, camouflage, breathe, and respond to danger without thinking about it, humanity carries an embedded awareness of God. But intellect—conditioning, culture, fear, statistics, and past experiences—often overrides that instinct. Instead of letting intuition guide intellect, we flip the order and let intellect hold the reins. That’s like letting the horse ride the rider. It’s powerful, but without the right guidance it will run you into the ground.

Jesus shows the opposite. His instinct always holds the reins. When thousands needed food, the intellect asked “how.” The instinct already knew. When people asked Him what to say or do, He responded with alignment to the Father: “I can of mine own self do nothing… as I hear, I judge.” That’s instinctual living—moving from the embedded God nature rather than trying to manufacture outcomes.

So the question becomes: what is shaping your intellect?

Because your curriculum becomes your current.

Every day we’re enrolling ourselves in a school. What we read, watch, scroll, and listen to becomes the pathway our mind runs on. That current eventually becomes our currency—what flows out of us naturally. That’s why keeping the red words of Jesus as the curriculum matters. Not as religion, but as a lifelong alignment process. When instinct and intellect come back into harmony, something powerful happens: you stop trying to manufacture life and start becoming a pipeline for it. You stop trying to control everything and start allowing God to steer through you.

Jesus said the one who believes will have rivers of living water flowing out of them — not sitting inside of them. And that means the issue isn’t supply. The issue is flow.

What turns a reservoir into a river?

Pressure.

A pump.

You have to prime the well.

The same way you pump a well until the water starts rising from deep underground, you prime your consciousness. Reading. Studying. Thinking. Staying in the red words. Keeping your mind pointed in the same direction until pressure builds and something begins to move.

Your mind becomes the pump.

But the river doesn’t move because of the pump alone. Rivers move because of gravity — a pull deeper than human effort. And that’s where the real mystery is.

Your priming meets God’s pulling.

Your consciousness aligns with God’s gravity.

And suddenly what was stored inside of you begins to flow out of you.

That’s why the goal isn’t to hoard the reservoir. Still water grows algae. It gets stale. It requires constant maintenance. But a river constantly refreshes itself. It cleans itself. It carries life wherever it goes.

God never intended you to be a storage tank.

You were designed to be a flow.

And the moment you stop trying to control the water and start aligning with the current, the river will take you places you could never reach on your own.
